Hi! My name is Lily. Despite the fact that I now major in Japanese, I actually don't know a lot about this language, and i still speak Chinese and English a lot better than Japanese at present. I'm a pretty outgoing girl but also a bit stubborn. I love traveling, though I haven't been to many countries, experiencing a variety of cultures and getting along with people from different places always make me excited. I also love reading, and read almost everything except for science articles. Besides, I often enjoy participating in activities that are exciting and challenging. Being a college freshman, I join the cheerleading club and the Student Association, and I'm really looking forward to my colorful new life here in NCCU! :D

Complaint from Next Door

This Monday, I left the dorm early in the morning as I always did. When I was about to close the door, I caught a glimpse of a small piece of paper stuck on the door. It complained of us making noise when closing the door at late night. I was a bit shocked at first, for I thought it was written by one of my roommates. However, I soon noticed that the hand writing doesn’t belong to any of them. Hurrying for my Japanese class, I had no choice but to leave first.

At night, I asked my roommates about the piece of paper as soon as I got back to the dorm. They told me that the complaint came from our next door. The only reason they’re so sure is that the people next door had already came in person before leaving that message. I felt extremely guilty in that it was mostly me that came back the latest, so it probably was also me that caused the protest. Even so, none of my roommates blame it on me. On the contrary, they comforted me that it’s not all my fault. I’m really happy to have them as my roommates. Most important of all, I’ll try my best to make no noise at late night!

Start living in a dorm

To me, one of the greatest changes between high school and college life is living in a dorm. In spite of the fact that I live in Taipei, I still signed up for a dorm in that it takes me more than an hour to get to school from my house. Fortunately, I did get a room, and I start looking forward to my new life since then.

Speaking of dorm life, the most influential element is the roommates. I was quite excited but also a bit nervous about getting along with my roommates. After all, living with three other people with completely different lifestyle isn’t an easy task. However, I soon found out that all three of my roommates are great people that are all easy-going. We chat and share our life with each other, and sometimes complaints as well. I feel really lucky to have them as my roommates, and I believe we will get along very well.
